How the LADWP Rebate Works

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) offers a rebate to encourage residential customers to add attic insulation. Based on the current program:

  • The rebate is roughly $0.50 per square foot for installing insulation to R-19 or higher
  • There is an additional bonus of about $0.25 per square foot on qualifying projects
  • The rebate can cover up to 80% of the project cost in some cases
  • You generally need to be an LADWP residential electric customer to qualify
