LADWP Attic Insulation Rebate: We Handle the Paperwork
Upgrading your attic insulation in Los Angeles? LADWP pays residential customers back for it. Hunter's Insulation does the work and manages the rebate paperwork from the first photo to the final inspection.
How the LADWP Attic Insulation Rebate Works
LADWP rewards Los Angeles homeowners who improve their attic insulation. The rebate is paid per square foot of qualifying insulation, and for most homes it offsets a real chunk of the project. Here is what the program pays right now.
Paid on qualifying attic insulation installed at R-19 or higher.
A bonus rate is currently in effect on top of the base amount. It will not last, so the sooner you book, the better your payout.
Between the base and bonus rates, the rebate can cover up to 80 percent of what you pay for the qualifying work.
Who qualifies
The rebate is for active LADWP residential electric customers upgrading attic insulation to R-19 or above. Not sure whether your account qualifies? We will help you check before any work begins.

It depends on your attic size and the rates in effect, but for most customers the rebate works out to roughly 10 percent of the total project cost.
Do I qualify for the rebate?
The rebate is for LADWP residential customers. The fastest way to confirm your eligibility is to contact LADWP directly, and we are glad to point you to the right place.

The program requires a minimum of R-19, though the right target for your home can be higher. If you want a clear answer for your specific attic, book a quick call with Luke and he will walk you through it.
Schedule a quick call with LukeWhat happens during the inspection?
An inspector enters the attic, reviews the installed insulation, and signs off that it meets requirements. They then send the results to the city, which clears the way for your rebate.
